Because five hundred years of Ryukyuan history (12th-17th century) are represented by this group of sites and monuments.You go to there whenever and whoever. My husband and I met here!I met my husband here, Okinawa, Japan...we were on a tour with the Single Marine Program...we learned so much about the culture by visiting so many historical attractions such as this site. A place to refresh !I like the culture of the Okinawans.The people are good and friendly.If you come and visit the place it is great and cultured.

Nice place!Okinawa is surrounded naturally.
Sea is transparent and beautiful!

A very historical PlaceOkinawa is just outstanding. It is avery small island. and broken down to smaller island, off mainland Japan. Although Okinawa now is part of Japan, it was once a kingdom by itself and had been conquered by 3 countries ... USA, China, and Japan.
