A magnificent Palace was built at the middle of nowhere on this Tibetan Plateau where no grass could grow! City Lhasa depends on all the goods from outside the Plateau. In Aug. 1987, I took a tour bus to Lhasa from Xining, Qinghai Province with 2 friends. But we hitchhiked with truck drivers who were looking for company out of Lhasa after unloading their goods in Lhasa. Missed fresh vegetables & fresh fruit!

The Palace top view was a spiritually amazing time. My photos and prayer wheel brings me back to this memory. The train has opened since our flight into Lhasa from Chungdu. Don't miss this if you are in this area!
