I fell in love with the temples the more I spend time around them. The more I look, the more there are! It's really like a time capsule, going back to the ancient days where Angkor Thom was a bustling place. Just a super place!
What an amazing city! I just wish I had more days to stay in this city to walk and see all the temples!

A Majestic Religious Monument
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/19/07
We took a family vacation to Cambodia in the summer of 2006. It was our first visit to Angkor Wat of Cambodia. Upon our arrival to the site, I was treated by a spectacular view and artworks. It is almost unbelievable that such monument, considering its magnitude and detail devoted to the artworks, was built in 12 century. It is an incredible ...

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/23/07
My husband and I visited Angkor Wat, Siem Riep last May 2006. We thought it was absolutely surreal. If you haven't been there you should make it one of your place to visit before you pass this earth. It is absolutely beautiful. Angkor Wat is full of rich history. Siem Riep is a tourist attraction, you would enjoy it more if you have a local ...

Hire a guide who can explain the temples in detail, otherwise you may be "templed out" when they all start to look the same but have very different significance. Three days should be good but the highlights can be done in two.
As crowds grow, they are raising prices (was $40 USD for three day pass but I read that was going up). ...

Cambodia is a country in change. Never more apparent is that then here in the Siem Riep area of the country. The old and the new, the haves and the have nots side by side, exposed for all to see.
Angkor Wat is truely one of the wonders of the world. Culturally, historically (and economically) a vital part of Cambodia.
When you talk about Combodia, you always think about ancient temples, empty beaches, mighty rivers, remote forests... The special point of Combodia is Angkor Wat, that is well known to every foreigner around the world.
Angkor Wat locates in Siem Reap, about 192 miles from the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh. AngKor Wat was build between 1113 and ...

Wonderful Place.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/25/06
Enormous and Spectacular! Thousand Tons of Giant Stones were ideally carved into unbelievable features. I could not believe my eyes when I first arrived at the huge ancient gate. Every thing was wonderful: the sites, people and food. Anyway, food is interesting and cheap there!
