Boyana Church is a small church in the mountain forest ourskirts of Sofia. The painting inside is probably one of the best example of Bulgarian Church Medieval Art left after the Ottoman Empire. I can only imagine, if this small church has this much painting inside, how was those big churches elsewhere that was destroyed throughout Bulgaria? It's well deserved to be a UNESCO world heritage.
