    Hallstatt and its environs offer many wonderful tourist opportunities. I wanted to point out one that might easily be missed: the world's oldest mine.     The Austrian Salzkammergut is a region in upper Austria, bordering Germany and very close to Salzberg, that magical place that gave Mozart to the world.
