  • Lodgepole camp sites
    By BusyChick, 06/18/09
I spent four days at Lodgepole. It was freezing and we had thunderstorms as well. All that should be expected since it's still not quite summer. At night I had to double up on the socks, blankets on top of the sleeping bags and even slept in beanies and gloves.

  • Giant Trees and Driving
    By Traveling Beauty, 08/12/08
The best part about this park is the Giant Trees Forest. A must see for nature lovers. Also try the Museum as well. However it is an hour drive from the the main gate to the forest. Be prepared to drive up a narrow and winding road.

  • Be ready to drive!
    By Sharmila, 05/30/06
Loved the park for the variety of views it offers: trees, mountains, granite hills, valleys, trails, caves, rivers .. very rich in nature. But be prepared to drive along crazy winding roads for long long distances and ofcourse always have a good pair of walking shoes and comfy jacket.

  • Itchy!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/09/06
The trails are too long. My legs started to itch but we were still hiking on the trails. Very good and clean (not like home in ILLINOIS)
