    the cave was awesome. its nice and fresh inside.but the walk back up is a challenge so take some water good luck .....and god bless you

  • Worth the hike

    We did this tour at noon in the middle of June, and although the weather was perfect for the hike, the inside of the cave is still cold. As the other reviewer mentioned, it's about a 15min walk to the cave and that's with no stops. I do not recommend the tour for anyone that has challenges with walking or breathing, the hike back up is ...

    It takes about 45 minutes to go to the Crystal Cave Rd. from Foothills Visitor Center, and the road is very curvy. It takes another 30 minutes to get to the parking lot; that route is only a single lane road, so be careful (it's not as curvy as Generals Highway between Hospital Rock and Crystal Cave Rd though).
