Keira and Matt were so bubbly and knowledgeable about both the "hole in the wall" eateries and the Hawaiian history behind the food. Equally as important, they knew the detailed history of every one of the dishes’ assimilation into Hawaiian culture. It was one of the highlights of our trip! A few days after the tour, my husband ...
What a great tour! We have had the good fortune of visiting Hawaii at least a dozen times and we had just spent 3 days exploring Honolulu and Chinatown. We saw, learned and enjoyed more diverse and sensational food on this tour that the previous 3 days combined! We enjoyed places that we would never have tried on our own, even if we could have ...

We had a great time and learned so much. I can't wait to return to Honolulu and check out some of the other places Kiera and Matt told us about.
I wish we'd scheduled this tour for earlier in our stay because we learned SO MUCH about the various cultures that have all come together in Hawaii. Keira & Matt are delightful and will amaze you with their knowledge of the origin & history of foods that are uniquely Hawaiian. We listened, we ATE, we laughed, we ATE, and had a most ...

Best Day on Oahu
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/29/09
The best money and time I spent during a recent visit to Honolulu. Former chef, caterer and food writer Matthew Grey and his fiancee, Kiera were fun and full of information. For a full day of great tastings, interesting places and meeting new friends, I can recommend this tour to any and all foodies!
There's nothing to dislike about these ...

The Hole in The Wall Food Tour was great. We saw a brochure and thought this would be very interesting to learn about Hawaiian foods. The hosts Matthew and Kiera are friendly and fun. They showed us great places to eat Hawaiian food. We ate all day. They showed us some historical sites and where President Obama use to live. This tour is ...

The Best Tour in Hawaii? Yes, Absolutely!
By tommytastebud, 01/15/09
Not only did they answer the phone on a Sunday night to answer all my questions, they also served as a quasi travel agent, e-mailing us with scads of great information on Hawaii.
Matthew & Keira are the ultimate nice people. As the owner-operators of Hawaii Food Tours they were so helpful for my wife & I on our honeymoon in Hawaii.
The ...

Happy New Year with Hawaii Food Tours!
By wintervacationinhawaii, 01/01/09
As advertised, this Hole in the Wall Tour was the best tour I've ever been on. Our hosts, Matthew & Keira, are perfect in the way they make you feel special... just like family. We were shown the Honolulu that most people never see; local places, great information, and an abundant amount of eateries, marketplaces and bakeries. They even ...

Great Overview of Hawaii, it's food and culture
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/26/08
This is a tour for anyone and everyone. Mathew and Keira were excellent hosts and very knowledgeable about the culture, history, and the relationships of these to the food of Hawaii. The tour covers so many different places and different types of food, it is hard to believe that everyone would not find this enjoyable. I have been to Hawaii many ...

This was one of the best tours. I wish I would have done this earlier. It takes you to places that you would not find on your own. The food was great as well as the sites. Matthew and keira were also great they made you feel like old friends. I would highly recommend this for anyone to do. I also wish Matthew and Keira the best of luck!
