The place is nice and looks like a restaurant in the 50's. It is not too expensive also (6.99$ for a burger). However the service is not very friendly. Still a nice place to go with kids.

    By ei, 08/03/07
I live right around the corner from "The Reef" and I dig the scene, man.
    Half price burger night rocks.
    The Breakfast sandwiches are delicious.
    The Coffee is Hot.
    The Fries are crisp...
If you want to spend like $100 dollars on lunch go to the Hotel or Globe,
If you want good tasting inexpensive Lunch counter food go to Raynes Reef,
    you will not be disappointed.

  • Authentic 50's Experience
    By Richard, 06/20/06
I moved to Berlin in March '06 and to be honest the service wasn't that great back then. The food has always been consistently excellent whether it is burgers, milkshakes, hot dogs or subs. Now that the season is underway Mike has hired two excellent chefs and an extremely competent waitstaff/management team that is taking the town by storm. I highly recommend stopping by Rayne's Reef!

  • Milk Shakes from my past!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/02/06
Mike makes milk shakes like they were made in the 50s! You get them served in a tall heavy glass, with the extra on the side in the metal cup that the shake was mixed in on a 50s vintage Hamilton Beach Mixer. A blessing for baby boomers, now if he would just start selling Black Jack Gum.

  • Family Diner, family owned
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
I greatly enjoyed eating here. The menu was a little pricey; the atmosphere more than makes up for it, though. A nice family diner to enjoy any meal. You'll like it.
