Go for the ambiance and view; the food is secondary but pretty good. Note that they DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. I believe they have an ATM on site, though.

Great Place to Eat!: The crab claw features a beautiful atmosphere and has an exceptional view of the harbor. The food is very good aswell.Id also like to say that it has been around forever as a local it bothers me when a TOURON complains about the restaurant because its a legend in st.mikes. everyone goes to the crab claw. people from different STATES take charter buses there just to eat! you guys should definitely check it out!

Just that-GREAT view, really good food, not so good service. I don't blame the service on the restaurant at all-we just had really bad luck in getting a horribly unattentive waitress. I definitely recommend sitting on the outer deck for crabs. Make reservations or get their early, people line up waiting for a table to open around 6:30pm. I gave a 3-star rating because the food was 4-star but the service was a 1-star.

We went there on a Sunday night and the clam chowder just run out:(...But the other seafood are still very great...especially the crabs~I will definitely go there again!
