A very crowded Thursday night created a very loud dinner experience. The atmosphere was nothing special and the staff was friendly. The "kabuli" dish I had was delicious, even if the lamb was a modest proportion to the large plate of rice.

In all of these years I have never once been disappointed in a meal or service. Every guest I have ever taken there has gone back for more. It's no wonder to me why the dining room is always full. The food is excellent. Sometimes my friends and I just order all of the appetizers, other times we go all the way. It's always a satisfying experience.

My wife and I love Helmand. The food is consistently excellent as well as the service. You will definitely need reservations. Great value....really anything on the menu is great. My fav. is the Sabzy Challow.

Havign never enjoyed Afghani fare and being skeptikal, I was more than pleasantly surprised by the menu at the Helmand. The food is delicious, the prices are very modest. Try the pumpkin appetizer.
