WOW! I had heard and read lot about this place and it was worth it! The crab cakes are the size of softballs. 100% pure crab meat. Soft, buttery crab meat with just a little crunch on the outside that makes it absolutely delicious! I got the carry-out 2 crab cake platter...trust me, the 2 cakes are MORE than enough. If you are anywhere near the restaurant, make the trip to G and M Restaurant! You won't be disappointed!

This restaurant has the best crab cakes in the Baltimore/Washington area. First, they are huge. Secondly, they do not have filler (as stated in another review)--only enough to hold the large pieces of crab togheter. Third, the price is absolutely right! I have only had carry-out, so I can't comment on the service or the wait. We don't ...

Every year my wife and I end up near the BWI, and we always make it a point to eat at the G&M. They won't take reservations for two, but it's worth the wait. The service is good, the atmosphere homey, and the food is excellent. I usually have oysters and crab, she has blackened rockfish or steak. We always left happy.

So we went and it was an 1 wait to be seated! So we went around to the bar and had a drink and watched the games. Finally we got seated...we had appetizers as we looked over the menu. Our server was REALLY nice. My coworker ordered the friend calamari, but she said complained it was too salty. The server politely took it off our bill. ...

Crab cakes are good, but the restaurant has a "weird" policy with regard to serving. I ordered calamari as an appetizer and didnt want to finish because I was saving my appetite for the main course and the waitress kept walking by and finally after about 30-45 minutes, I asked when my meal would be served. She then indicated to me that ...

We heard great things about G and M Restaurant and so everytime we passed through Baltimore, we made it a point to stop and either pickup their famous crabcakes to go or eat it. However, the last time we stopped in (by the way, the renovation looks great) we picked up two crabcakes to go (price about $30.00 with tax for two cakes) I noticed there ...

Haven't been there for years. The crab cakes, which they were being touted for, were mostly filler, I couldn't find any crab. The service was mediocre and to top that, (possibly why I have such a bad remembrance of this restaurant) I went to an Orioles game in 105 degree heat, which they lost.
Never went again.

Had reservations for 9PM for a large party, celebrating my son receiving his Confirmation. With a reservation we had to wait an hour to be seated. Once seated we were packed together at a long table like sardines, no room whatsoever. The waitress left much to be desired as well. Having been a frequent patron of G&M I can truly say they're not like they used to be.

The best crab cakes in the area
While there are a number of good things on the menu and an acceptable wine list, go for the crab cakes. The single will suit most diners, but go for the double if you're really hungry.
