I love this place, but last night I went there with my wife and son (9/28/08) the sushi rice taste like plain rice. I been in going to this place just for the sushi rice and i was very disappointed and for not doing anything about it upsets me more. I used to recommend this to my friends and colleague, guess what.... not anymore.

Though the specialty rolls are very creative and pretty tasty, it's not my favorite. The spicy rolls have too much of the mayo and I found a lot of the seafood to be too salty.

I am a sushi connoisseur and have eaten sushi in many different place, in many different countries. This small Japanese restaurant is by far the best in MD and I would even venture to say, holds its own in the world. I have a difficult time staying eating at any other Japanese Restaurant because I am consistently comparing it with Sushi Ya
Wow whoever decorated that place did a really really good job! The sushi was awesome. We only ate 2 rolls because we were in a hurry but I noted this place on my Favorite Sushi Place LIST in this area. They also had a very welcoming atmosphere which is a big plus when a business is not annoyed they have to serve another customer.

I highly reccommend this restaurant... I have gone to several other "high rated" or "best of baltimore" sushi joints and always come back to sushi ya.... (make sure you try the lacey roll)
