  • I love Tamarine!!!
    By fffrederique, 05/01/06
This is the best vietnamese food I have ever had. And one of the greatest restaurant in Palo Alto. I love the seabass dish!!! It is excellent! I also love the green beans, eggplants and tofu side dishes. They are amazing. If you stick to all of that, you'll have enough for 2 people. We tried the salmon entree and it was good but not ...

  • I like Three Seasons Better
    By Frazier Miller, 04/10/06
While Tamarine is great food, for the money, I much prefer Three Seasons - a similar but less expensive option.

  • Excellent food, great atmosphere
    By Yvonne French, 03/08/06
I took a friend to Tamarine for her birthday recently and really enjoyed it. The ambience is very cosy - dark with heavy curtains, but definitely has a great buzz of activity. We ordered everything the waitress recommended - the Shaking beef, baked cod and scallop curry were amazing, especially the Shaking Beef. Mmmm. The flavored rice dishes are ...

we had a wait a little to get seated inspite of reservation, once settled down we were helped with our ordering. The food is just awesome. A little on the higher side on prices, but the ambiance was worth it. great place for a romantic dinner.

  • I recommend the Lemon Drops and the Shaking Beef
    By Adam Rifkin, 02/22/06
First one friend took me here and recommended the Shaking Beef. Then another friend took me here and recommended the Shaking Beef. Then a third friend told me to try the Lemon Drop and I'm hooked.

If I'm ever a prisoner on Death Row, I want a half dozen Lemon Drops and a couple of Shaking Beefs before I go.

    Pros: It's frickin' awesome

Cons: It gets crowded during peak hours

  • Classy place...
A little pricey, but I guess it's Palo Alto. But still,...there are other restaurant on University that are the same price and tastier.

  • Great Vietnamese food
    By Madhu Vudali, 12/17/05
I liked the selection. For a vegetarian, there's a good selection of dishes. Recommend any time. Make reservations.

  • Great food!!!
    By JV, 12/07/05
This place is expensive... but the food is worth it! You don't get large plates of food, but what you get you will like, so get a bunch of plates and share. Try the Shaking Beef and the infused rice.

  • The best restaurant in Palo Alto
    By nocturneon, 11/09/05
This place rocks and is my favorite restaurant in Palo Alto!!! I have been there several times and the food here is exceptional with excellent service. Make sure to order Shaking beef and Lemongrass bass. The only minus is that you always need a reservation as walk-in's are virtually impossible.
