The peach cobbler and cheese cake taste like a product from a grocery store, and not from scratch or homemade. My jambalaya was luke warm, the crab was cold and the dish was served on a plate. The positive-- I loved the fried green tomatoes, corn bread sticks and organic grits. The waiteress and waiter who served us were friendly and courtesy. The host was not.

What a terrible experience. I stopped in there last night for a to go order. I ordered the she-crab soup, country fried steak, and pecan pie. The receipt that the bartender handed me said "chick fixe" - I asked her if this was the country fried steak and she assured me that it was. When they handed me my order, I noticed there was no ...

I was really looking forward to my first experience at Georgia Brown's. From their website menu, to the reviews I read, I felt this would definitely be a meal to remember.
WELL, DISAPPOINTMENT WOULD BETTER DESCRIBE MY EXPERIENCE. The decor of the restaurant pulls you in, making you believe GB will live up to all the hype. But, don't ...

On the surface, this place looks great. Great atmosphere, nice table settings. However the service was horrible. The food took forever to reach our table, we never saw our waiter after he delivered our drinks (kitchen staff served our main entrees), and it took them a full 30 minutes to produce our bill. Not to mention, our waters and iced teas ...
From the moment you make the reservation, you are treated like gold. Georgia Brown's has a computerized reservation system and they call you back to confirm your reservation. When you reach the host stand, they inform you of EXACTLY how much time it will take to seat you, and lo and behold, they adhere to that time. Atmosphereically, the place ...

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/10/07
We went to Georgia Brown's for our one year bf/gf anniversary and had a GOOD time. The ambiance with good although noisey and crowded. We went on a Tuesday night. The food was good. I had the fried chicken. It was just okay. For a place that seems to be known for thier fried chicken, I was slightly disappointed. I was impressed with ...

Georgia Browns is NOT for large parties.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/06
On Friday October the 13th, some friends and I went to Georgia Browns in Washington DC:
Let me begin with my likes: the ambiance was impressive, the presentation was delightful and refreshing. I was part of a party of 15 that went out to celebrate my 23rd birthday. The menu led to high expecations, and promised a delightful and enjoyable dining ...
