I had the worse experience there ever on Cinco de Mayo. The Owner was rude and I will NEVER go to this place ever again. I am also making sure that my friends, co-workers, or clients ever go to this place. We were accused of seating ourselves from the owner, after the hostess sat us there. I've gone to this restaurant a couple of times. The food is delicious and they have great service. You can really tell that the food is freshly made. I enjoy going to Lauriol Plaza, especially to eat on the third level, which is an open-air, patio like area. I moved from Texas to the East Coast over two years ago. Besides family, the thing I miss the most is the Tex-Mex. I had given up on ever finding decent food, much less worth while Mexican food. Being a native Mexican that moved to DC few years ago, i have to say that this place is awful. The food is NOT Mexican at all but a combination of Mexican/Guatemalan/Salvadorean food. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food this is not the place. If you are looking for an overrated place, pretending to know Mexican food then you belong to ...4 of 4 Yahoo! This is some of the best Mexican food the city has to offer (some of the best Margaritas too!). The best times to go are especially during the warmer months where you can eat outside on the patio or on the upper deck. I LOVE YOU LAURIOL PLAZA! I crave you too lol. Ohhhhh let me tell all you readers that this place is so f-ing good. The salsa is the bomb, the chips are the bomb, and the seafood enchilada is amazing. The crab quesodillas are awesome, the salad, the gaucamole... EVERYTHING! YUM!Lauriol Plaza has become my favorite restaurant since I moved here two years ago. They have consistently excellent service and ALWAYS great food. Even when they're packed (which is often, especially Saturday nights and Sunday brunch), the service is fast. Nice restaurant, good drinksI went for the first time for my friends birthday. We sat all the way upstairs which was really nice because its is open w/ no windows. The drinks there were very good and get you where you need to be. The swirls were great and the mojitos. There was also another drink w/ Jose Cuervo Grand Marnier and some other stuff I can't think of the drink name but it was good too.OVERALL
