I began my summer trips to Daggett Lake in the summer of 2002. I found it by doing a Google search for campgrounds in the Adirondacks that were dog friendly. My first visit I rented a tent site for me and my dog...from my first visit, I was treated like family. I was a 31 year old woman vacationing alone and they made sure I was safe. Over the ...

Extremely Disappointing!!!!!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/09
We went to Daggett Lake based on the positive reviews. Our Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights had seasonal kids 10+ ranging from 7 through 18 that are left to run wild after dark and scream and yell until 10 p.m. not quiet at all. Their parents send them there to have some adult time. When they go home it is quiet until the following weekend, so be ...

We love Daggett Lake!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/23/09
This will be our 4th year at Daggett Lake. We camp about 4-5 times a year and this is one of our favorite trips. It is peaceful, clean, safe and beautiful. Tom is an amazing water skiing instructor, our kids water ski every year and love it.
Although the website stresses a "quiet Adirondack Campground" our experience was far from that. The Most Peaceful Place In The World
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/25/08
This is our 7th year at Daggett Lake. We found it by accident after endlessly and unsuccessfully looking for a nice campground with spacious wooded sites. We have not been anywhere else since. The first year, we booked it by the weekend because all of the seasonal sites were taken. The following year we got lucky. Pam and Tom, the owners, knew how ...

Not just for regulars
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/23/07
Contrary to the other review on Yahoo, this is a great place to stay. I stayed in one of the cabins for 7 days and was treated like family. I had never been there before so the owners took that extra time to make sure our stay was pleasant. There were other families with dogs some were regulars some were not. Almost everyone I met was happy with ...

Daggett Lake Campground
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/16/06
If you are looking to escape the stress of everyday life that camping provides skip Daggett Lake. Unless you have been going there for over 10 years you will be clearly made to feel like an outsider. They claim to be dog friendly, as long as your dog has the saintly traits of Lassie, if your dog even barks once at a passing chipmonk the ex- mairne ...
