I agree with the other negative comments. The staff/management lacks social skills. The campground itself is not kept up, bathrooms/showers filthy, dumpsters spilling over with garbage for days, weeds and pot holes everywhere. Lots of skunks! Location is the only positive-close to the beach-no competition lets them do whatever they want.

Concentration Camp Ground
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/03/08
I have been camping here for 38 years. I will not return. New "policies" are unfair and invasive. All staff except for Frank are rude and unhelpful. New gate is a total hassle. Night time security searches of sites are over the top. Definitely in need of new management.
Absolutely the best camp ground we've ever been to. We camped at 4 different camp grounds in 7 days during our vacation to Maine. By far, Salty Acres was our favorite. The owners were soooo nice and helpful. Not to mention you are very close to grocery shopping and there are lobster shops even closer. We will be returning this year.
