This is an older campground right on the Shenandoah River. While the facilities are older, they're adequate - and having showers was a plus. You should be prepared to bring water to your campsite - only the RV sites have it piped-in, otherwise you have to fill up your jerrycans at the main office and haul them to your site. Overall, a nice site and a good experience
We stayed at the site for Memorial Day weekend 2009. Turned out to be 500 campers ( we camped in the overflow area where you're directly in the sun, no shade trees at all). There were 6 bathrooms w/shower toilet and sinks for 500 people. The lines just to go the bathroom were aweful, 2 toilets were clogged. They had 2 Johnny on the spots in ...
This is a great campground for a get away. This campground is water front, although all of the waterfront sites are for tents only. RV camping is only a stones throw away from the Shenendoa River and you can see the river from the sites. Electric hookup only, no water or septic.
