Restrooms dirty, showers not working properly two out of three did not work. Site promised was not what we got. Ended up staying in a gravel roadway with no picnic table or fire ring. grounds are well maintained and improvements are often, but the bathrooms could use updating and repairs. it is very pretty with nice walking paths. but sometimes disorganized staff and slow to react to problems. suppose to have wireless internet,if it is working and that is rarely.
it is in countryside, so a bit of a drive to charlottesville and montecello. it is a nice place for a short stay.

The people were friendly but the campground is crowded. The RV's are packed together like sardines. No pads for tents. It was raining our first night, there wasn't near enough gravel for the unpaved road we were on, which meant an extreme amount of mud. We stayed from Friday to Sunday, the bathrooms were not cleaned at all during our stay.
The haunted hayride was enjoyable.
