We stayed in our 40 ft motorhome on what they call a riverside site. It was a cliff with little access ( unless a good climber) to the river. Apparently they were plans to build a stairway or walk way down but the lumber lay near our site and kids were climbing down the rock cliff to the river. Not at all safe.

The place is wonderful, great location, cute little cabins,a great place to eat breakfast, very friendly staff in the cafe , beautiful animas river flowing through.
The only thing we didn't like was upon check in, we were POUNCED on by a very aggresive salesman. He made plans for us to attend a sales pitch(for private membership) the next day ...

The place was great. Right on the Animas River which was flowing great. No fishing there though. Fishing close by. The park is going through a lot of renovation and the people are great and really helpful about telling you things to do in the area. They are keeping the park clean and the new spaces are good size. I would recommend it to everyone.

Very pretty setting but the staff was down right mean. We will not go back.
