I come to Appleton a lot and have stayed at all the budget motels. This place was the best in the budget range ($30.00) by far. I was suprised to see that there was a game room and lounge. The gentleman at the front desk (Harold) was very helpful. I asked for directions and he printed me out a map. The room was spacious with two double beds. Although it is somewhat dated, the room was clean and comfortable.
The front desk clerk (my receipt indicated RM) was short and not very pleasant to deal with.
There was a small lounge which basically accomodates the people who live there and the alcohol flows freely. Most everyone was blotto when I returned later in the evening. Definitely caters to the live there crowd. Bartender was drunk and ...
