My husband and I have been to the inn several times over the past years and have been treated very cordially at every visit. We will continue to return for future visits. The rooms are comfortable and immaculate.Although breakfast is not offered, they do give their guests complimentary coffee, tea, juice and pastry.

Worst Inn ever on our trip to New England
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/25/08
We made a trip around the north of New England, in November. We knew that the season would be over by then, but in many other Inns, like in Cape Cod, Portsmouth, Portland, and Acadia we found nice Inns, which were still very hospitable and friendly. As we came to The Inn at Smith Cove, we were told from a really rude innkeeper woman, that we are ...

Save us a Room June 2008

It was delightful, we were there only one night but hope to return for a longer stay in spring of 2008. We will be bringing friends from England as think they will enjoy as well.

pretty view but unfriendly staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/07
The innkeepers really were as rude and unfriendly as the other reviews mentioned. They were rude even on the phone when making the reservation but as we were going with a larger party we did not have a choice about staying there. The innkeeper made our entire party uncomfortable and would frequently talk to us about the other guest- and it was not ...

Unpleasant and Unhealthy!
By katsu97@snet.net, 08/18/07
Very disappointing overall. The innkeeper woman was extremely unpleasant upon arrival. Although the rooms inside the main building looked nice, the "Little House in the Cove", a separate building which should have been called a nice shed, was full of mold, smelled bad, and made both of us sick after only one night in it! They obviously ...

The Inn is very picturesque, wonderfully clean, well maintained and the landscaping is exceptional. Have been to the Inn several times and look forward to the next visit with my wife - we both enjoy it so much.

Beautiful!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/24/07
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend and very much liked it. The owners were very friendly, even inviting us over to their private porch for drinks. The location is perfect, far enough away to be quiet, yet close to everything. The grounds are beautiful, there is obviously pride of ownership. Also, the rooms were spotless. We'll definitely go back again!

Truly Unique

The Inn is a wonderful place. We have stayed there multiple times each summer for over 10 years. It is definately not your average B&B/country inn in the woods experience. It is a beautiful grand lakefront home nestled into a quaint summer vacation neighborhood. The innkeepers take more than a weekend to get well aquainted with since they dont ...

Classic New Hampshire. A warm cozy Inn with great people. The owners made my wife & I feel at home. Quite but close to a good time. Can't wait for our next stay.

The Mice Won

This was not a guest oriented inn at all. Our only personal contact with an owner was upon arrival when we were given a key and a bill for the entire stay. When we checked out (early due to dissatisfaction) we did it through an intercom to the owner's house. Our room was very small, with about a foot of space between the walls and the bed. ...
