We have been to the Norseman many times. We stayed our first year in the River Apartment. A two bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and beautiful river view. Our next year my husband and I went alone and stayed right on the ocean. What a great place. The rooms are clean. The staff is wonderful. I can't wait to go back.
The room was extremely small ($200 a night)and the first thing that we noticed when we opened the bed was blood stains (yuck) on the sheets. We called the front desk and waited 45 minutes for a maid to change the sheets. The woman didn't speak English when we asked her to please empty the rubbish in the bathroom which included a tampon... NEVER AGAIN................

We have been going here for seven years and always go back. Sometimes even twice a year. Just footsteps from the oceans edge. From sunrise to sunset the view is just amazing. Seeing is believing. Clean, spacious rooms. Great food and shops within reasonable walking distance. Fantastic in town coffee and pastry at Bread & Roses. The parking ...

I loved this hotel. I have been all over and this hotel and its location just left a lasting impression on me. I have stayed here three times and each time I thought it was tranquil, fun and peaceful at night watching the water. I am hoping to go back soon. It is not a Grand Floridian but it certainly has the atmosphere. It was perfect for me and what I enjoy in a vacation. Perfect

Can't wait to go back

You can't get any closer to the ocean - the Norseman IS the place to be!!! The rooms are great, although the beds could be a little better (blankets were a little itchy)...but we had an awesome time! Definitely will be back again!
We stayed at the Norseman in Ogunquit and it has remained for my wife and myself through the years our fondest travel memory. We always think back to Ogunquit, in our deck chairs under warm snuggy blankets as the cold Atlantic wind whistled in, planes headed toward Europe overhead and the ocean came right up to our deck. The Marginal Way, ...

FANTABULOUS!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/12/07
We've been traveling to New England and the Norseman Motor Inn since 1971, when it was owned by the Merrill Family. It is truly the most wonderful place in the world. It has the best of everything for a quiet, relaxing, beautiful vacation. The accommodations are great -- a little pricey in season and now even off season -- but if you want ...

We stayed in one of the gangplank rooms overlooking the river. It was a nice sized room with a deck and decorative fireplace. If you don't mind a little walking, you could walk to everything. Even Marginal Way is only a 5 to 10 minute walk and at the other end of Marginal Way is Perkins Cove. Very quick check in and out. Plus the parking ...

My mother (Lillian Mitchell) and I came to the Norseman for l3 consecutive years. She became unable to travel and I became involved in our restaurant in Texas and was not able to get away. But we are selling the restaurant and I am able to get back to New England for the first time since 200l (we flew to Hartford on Sept. 10, l day before the ...

step onto the beach from your room

Best location in Ogunquit if you want a real beach vacation -- big clean rooms (not frilly but spacious and practical), decks with lounge chairs, refrigerator, walk out onto GORGEOUS beach on one side, river in the back, great food at Splash patio bar/restaurant, great breakfast at Huckleberries, trollies to take you into town, easy walk to ...
