Very convenient location; close to fast food, shopping, grocery stores; some freeway noise with the window open, minor noise with the window closed (and I was second room from the freeway); room was small but I was just there to sleep; room was clean & everything worked fine. This has been my worst hotel experience in CA. A few reasons not to go there:
- Very noisy (like sleeping in the freeway).
- Toilet does not flush.
- One lamp was not functioning in the room. They graciously changed the bulb upon my request, but the lamp stopped working ½ hour later…
- The fridge was still filled-up with the previous customer’s food and beverage.

Cockroaches, plugged toilet, people talking in the next room (but only until midnight): if this sounds good to you, I highly recommend the Tamalpais Motel.
