This was the first time we stayed at the east side motel but we are already planning another trip there later this year. The room was big and very clean, had a refridgerator and microwave in the room. The convinence of a trolley stop right in front of the hotel was a plus. The owners Tom and Marlene were great.

WE've been staying with Tom & Marlene since 1992.We always enjoy our visits to the GSMNP.East side makes it like staying with family!!! Tom & Marlene are the best. WIFI is now available. They hooked up in June when we were there.We are anxious to return.

We have been staying here for about 21 years. Tom and Marlene are wonderful people. I have even called on very short notice and always have been accomodated. Always look forward to returning.

I do a lot of backpacking and it is tradition to stay at the East Side after getting of the trail. Clean rooms, big rooms, and hot showers and a friendly staff on top of that. Excellent value!

This was my third time going back with my husband and I must say the owners was wonderful. My Kids and I stayed here for 5nighs. They are ages 14 (daughter) and 12(son) and they loved the hotel. The owners are fantastic. So helpful. The price was fantastic. The room was so clean we have more towels than we could use and the pool was beautiful but still a lil cold for swimming. We had our 2 dogs with us and a wonderful place to walk ...

I like everything about this place. My parents would take me and my sister here every summer and now I am taking my kids here. The owners are like family and never forget a face. I will be staying here everytime we visit.

My family and I just spent 7 nights here. I would recommend it to everyone. The owners were very nice. The rooms were large and clean. They made sure you had everything you needed. Plenty of clean towels. Which in the past has always been a problem at other motels. My Grandkids loved the pool and the basketball court. It is close enough to walk to everything. A very quiet place. Will be staying again on our next trip to Tn.
