* great managers: helpful, enthusiastic, full of useful information
* great bed, work table, shower, iPod dock, tv
* loved the sundeck with music, and the free bikes
* loved the binder full of up-to-date local information (restaurants, bars)
* the managers made our stay seem FUN
* lots of interesting non-US folks staying there
* nice safe walk down ...

I spent the last two nights at El Prisidio, and while I havent been big on Santa Barbara in the past, staying at El Prisidio has changed my mind. I looked forward to laying around the super comfy bed and looking at the unique designs on the walls, and the hanging art from the ceiling. I was floored by the hospitality, and the originality of the look and feel to this motel. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

i love this place because it's straight up simple, clean, lovely to look at and they offer free bikes to ride around town. desk staff was helpful and reasonably informed. lots of parking...within walking to shops, etc on state street. nice spot for sunbathing although no pool.

down sides: for some reason my room didn't have a small frig ...

Great Rates,Location,and Super Friendly Staff !!!!! Free Bikes and continental breakfast !!!! I loved my stay and would highly recommend requesting one of the completed art rooms-modern furnishings meets artistic vibe-what could be better !!!!!

I stayed there several times this year for business and I want to warn people - it is very noisy. Several times, one at 3am, people were making so much noise that I couldn't sleep and had to get up and ask them to go elsewhere to party. This is the downside to this otherwise nice motel.

The Minimal Decor, Modern Vibe, Free Bikes,and Location !!!!!! Not Your Standard Motel !!!!!! Forget the Hotel stay at the Motel !!!!!! The Place is Great so Don't you Wait !!!!!!!

I loved the convinient location (the first motel out of the downtown area) and reasonable prices.The rooms are very clean and there is even a complimentary continental breakfest!!!!!!!! You just don't find service like this anymore.
