Still thinking of James Island County Park..Although we stopped in to camp just overnight, after arriving we wanted to stay a week! It was so pretty, and relaxing...and can't get over how neat and clean the entire huge park was and all the activities there. firewood, marshmallows, Good Sam member park too. Campground Beautiful/Staff RUDEWe had a rude awakening at 7:00 a.m. with chainsaws and the beeping of lifts on trucks. This continued throughout our stay of which we cut short! The toilets didn't flush properly and it was obvious the bathhouse wasn't cleaned daily. Several campers suffered undue hardships due to the unaccomodating staff.OVERALL

Great Place for Family ReunionJames Island County Park is a beautiful place to have a Family Reunion. My family had our reunion there every other year. There is a lot for the family to do, kids will not get bored. I would go there every weekend if I still lived on James Island.1 of 1 Yahoo! I recommend it as My Favorite CampgroundMy son and I made a last minute decision to go camping in Charleston. The James Island campground was very busy that weekend and we thought we weren't going to get a site. The Manager overheard my conversation with the lady at the front desk,and immediately found an overflow site that was perfect.
