Dirty and Nasty!I stayed here with my 11 year old son. The hotel has a clean pool and is close to the beach. The room on the other hand was nasty. Our feet turned black from walking on the carpet. The kitchenette was patched together. There was hair and sand in the tub. We also found lots of interesting things in the dresser drawers. Includeing a ...3 of 6 Yahoo! Will not stay at this motel again!!!The Sea Shell Motel offered a great price and a beautiful view of North Beach HOWEVER.... the room was filthy and service wasn't any better.

Slept on brand new mattreslocation is exellent,great view,rate was good right on the water,enjoyed the swimming pool,room was clean. Once was the Best-Now possibly the WorstOnce upon a time this motel was owned by wonderful people and run by Even better people. That all changed about 6 or 8 years ago. Save yourself the trouble- go to Quality Inn down the streetafter reading good reviews for this place here on yahoo, we made reservations for a 3 night stay...I called 3 days before our stay to confirm- Once we arrived, however, I encountered crappy customer service at it's best. Wow, I wish I knew where some of these guys stayed.5 and 4 stars? Where did you guys stay? I'd really hate to see what you guys call a 1 star. This place is a dump. Filthy, moldy, could not even stay for one hourPLEASE DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THESE PLANTED REVIEWS. Based on reviews here, I reserved a room for 2 nights. Great location but horrible accomodations. Rock hard matresses. Kitchenette was filthy. Walls and air vent were moldy. They had one overworked maid there, rooms weren't ready at check-in time. Awesome location.Its right on the beach. Inexpensive, pool, next to the Lex. and Aquariam. Lots of souvinour shops. And if your lucky at low tide there are no waves and you can find lots of hermit crabs, and fish right off the beach. It was awesome. Some rooms have a kitchenette. This will be our only place to go.We stayed at the Sea Shell Motel on 5/20/06-5/24/06. We go to the corpus at least 4 times in the summer this is the 1st time we stayed at Sea Shell Motel and it was wonderful. The manager PK is a great man and made us feel weclome.
