I love going to Ice House. We stay at the sunset campgrounds at Union Valley but visit the resorts store and resturant often during our stay. I plan on staying in their motel soon.

We headed to Ice House and found out the entire place was sold out, headed to the Ice House Resort and they pulled strings to get us two big sites. This is out new favorite place. A fun atmosphere with very friendly staff. Nice bathrooms, a bar, a store, and great folks. Everyone on grounds said hi to us! say hi to staff Bob...He will take care of you. I have gone there for the last 3 years. It has all the amenities that you might require either staying there or in a campground nearby. The restaurant has wonderful choices in food and the portions are very nice and food very good tasting. The prices are very reasonable. This is no Denny's thank God!! I love this place. It is so peaceful and serene. Once you are tucked away at one of the campsites the outside world just disappears. You have a family atmosphere and amenities such as a bar, store and restaraunt within walking distance if necessary. The kids are in a safe enviroment and have lots to explore - creek, rock climbing, trails...ect Not ...

The Place is right off the main hi-way, the parking lot could be used as a bypass. The restrooms may have been cleaned last year. With somany lake camp grounds, this should be named the last resort.
