We did not stay at the cabins but stopped, by chance, at the restaurant. The unpretentious exterior did not prepare us for such a culinary delight!! The food and wine were Fabulous and the service was exceptional! We are already planning another trip to Ca. and another visit to River's End!

We made reservations on January 5th, 2009 for July 31st. (our 3rd wedding anniversary in cabin 4), re-confirmed the reservation in March. July 20th we're told that they double booked the cabin, SORRY...

The only thing that this facility has to offer is the view. The cabins, specifically #3 are completely run down. Front door verneeer peeling off. Bathroom door would not close. Carpet and room were dirty. Shades would not stay down for privacy/glare. CD player broken.

I did quite a bit of research into options in Jenner and the local area and saw mixed reviews on everything. I'm fairly picky when it comes to lodging and as a frequent traveler I enjoy quality hotels and expect clean comfortable settings. I knew I would not find the Westin, but what I found at the Rivers End was well worth the money.

The River's End definitely deserves its excellent reputation. The food was so incredibly delicious & perfectly prepared that I wished I had 7 stomachs like a cow so I could keep eating & eating & eating! The servers are experienced & friendly; & the views are beautiful -- you can watch sunsets, hawks, butterflies, pelicans, seals & sea gulls ...

The service was fine, the coconut shrimp and duck confit sandwich were great, but the most remarkable thing was the children's menu. The seared halibut with mashed potatoes and veggies was delicious and well presented. The spatzle and veggies was less impressive, but still a far cut above the usual grilled cheese and fries type of kid's ...

We ate at the restaurant twice, and the food, atmosphere, and view and view were excellent. The people there are very friendly and helpful! Call ahead for reservations if possible, but if not, arrive early and sit at the bar. The best restaurant experience in the area, although there are other good ones as well.
