Outstanding dining experience. Filets were to order and tender. Swordfish was excellent. Desserts decadent. Service was top notch. Just bring lots of cash or plastic, but worth every penny....

THE best place to eat in Philly. Hands down! Get there as soon as you can! Calamari is the best appetizer and the Porterhouse is the best steak. Any dessert is awesome! The place to be seen!

One of the best philly have to offer. Make sure you set up your appointment in advance. Very costly but worth it. You will not be hungry after going here.

  • Great Food & Atmosphere, Snooty server
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/07
The steaks were, as noted, amazing. As a lighter eater, it was limiting however - only one cut less than 14 oz. We were entertaining clients, one a non-drinker, so we didn't order bottles of wine. This obviously annoyed the waitress and we got snotty service (and eye-rolls) through the entire dinner. Other staff were delightful, however.

  • Consistently excellent dining experience
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/06
My husband and I visit The Capital Grille as often as we can afford (at least every other month). We are always impressed with both the food and the service. As a culinary school graduate I feel that I am more critical than the average diner, and The Capital Grille always impresses me with their food preparation and preparation. Sure, some ...

The steak is overall average and so is the service. Maybe they were just having a bad day.

  • TOO TRENDY...
    By Damon, 05/17/06
Nothing special about this place...the drinks are extremely expensive--i spent 32 buck on four beers...the food is average and waiting for your seat you are surrounded by wanna be hipsters who thinking drinking wine, and blowing smelly cigar smoke in your face is the idea of socializing...the steaks are very good but way over priced...go to ruth chris' for a classier setting, better food and exemplary service.

  • I'd Go Back Again
    By David, 03/20/06
Enjoyed my experience. If only the server would have been more attentive, I'd go back with each trip to Philadelphia. Being from South Texas, I enjoy a really good steak, so I would go back if the service was better. At those prices, the staff should be better trained to cater to the customers. On the bright side, the support staff, bus ...

  • Oh wow - was that the best steak ever or what!
    By Gil, 10/01/05
Well, the reputation is well deserved. This place is considered the best steaks in town. And boy did they deliver. I ordered the porterhouse and I was not disappointed. The service was very good. Not intrusive but very attendant. You know, the kind you get at a really good restaurant. The atmosphere, very old school, steak house style...which is ...
