This review is for Los Sarapes in Horsham. We eat there frequently for lunch and I have to say everyone is always happy with the quality of the food and service we receive. I've had many different items on the lunch menu and just about everything has been great. The guacamole is a little expensive but it is freshly made and very tasty. I ...

Wow 15 dollars for enchiladas, are you serious? Mexican food is cheap and easy to make but you would never know it at Los Sarapes. Decent atmosphere, good for a date or night out, but it's a little cramped and like I said, waaaay too expensive for Mexican food.

Great food but crazy expensive. I have NEVER been to a Mexican restaurant where you have to buy chips and salsa! The Guacamole was $9! My husband and I went with friends and dropped almost $200 just for the 4 of us. I felt crammed in the seating area. I actually looked to see where the emergency exit would be located. Have been asked to go back and said no. The service was good once we got our seat.

I spent a lot of time in Mexico and this place has the best Mexican food North of Mexico City. It's absolutely fresh, light and inventive. If you think that Taco Bell is Mexican food then you might not "get" this place, but if you like to taste the food and not the grease, you should definitely try it. They own a total of three ...

I have always been a huge fan of Los Sarapes. To me, it's the most authentic Mexican restaurant in this area. I'm originally from southern California and have many Mexicans in my family, so I know first-hand what home-cooked Mexican food should taste and look like. While I have lived most of my life on the east coast, I visit CA often ...

Pricing is WAY too high - there are better choices in Plumstead at El Mariachi for the real stuff at real prices(like Los Sarapes before they went avane-garde).
The old Los Sarapes the was a hole-in-the-wall was the best and deserved 5-stars. Excellent food, very reasonable prices, great service all added up to be a place we went to all the time. Now that they have expanded and gotten fancy, it's not as great of a place. We don't even go there too often. It's just not that special for us ...

If only the value was as good as the food

The food was always awesome, but the overall value dropped in recent years when entree prices almost doubled in some cases. So now instead of going every month its a special occasion place.

Authentic Mexican Food

There is a reason this restaurant has been a favorite for many years. While the food may be more expensive, it is high quality and expertly prepared. I disagree with the reviewer who thinks children should stay at home, we bring ours and they LOVE the food (we are glad they enjoy the 'real deal' versus prefering the cheaper chain version of Mexican food). The staff couldn't be nicer. Wish they took reservations though!
