All the tour companies steer you there. So expect to wait. My son (Daniel) would not eat the salsbury steak. The meatloaf was excellent. Very clean and nice. I met the Head Chef Mason who did a walk around to see all was well.....

My family of 5 ate here and we all thought it was great. You can't beat the price either. The food was hot and delicious, very homecooking. I have no complaints, will go again on our next visit to Gettysburg. Our server was very nice too. We really liked the bread on the salad bar. The dessert selection was very big and everything was great.

General Pickett's is a great place to dine at any price. The home- cooking style entrees are delicious, and the dessert table has a wide variety-all yummy! Everyone who works there makes you feel welcome, and the decor is refined and appropriate for the historical surroundings. There is a gift shop in the building upstairs from the dining area, too. Do not overlook this gem!

General Pickett's is about as close as you can get to a home-cooked meal while traveling. I'm in Gettysburg 5-6 times a year for reenactments, and this is my favorite place to dine. • Highly doubtful I will return
    By Lori, 03/29/06
I was really disappointed in the selection. There wasn't many items that I liked. The roast beef was bleeding and could have gotten up and walked away. The dessert bar was disappointing, there was a variety of cakes and pies, but what if you dont like cakes or pies? I was looking for cookies or pudding, something light. Our waiter was very friendly and quick. But for the price, I doubt we'll return

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The food is so good and it's all you can eat. At lunch they have Salisbury Steaks which are fantastic!!! All the other food is good too. It's not a huge selection, but it's got all the right items. Nice healthy looking salad bar, and a FANTASTIC dessert table with all kinds of cakes and pies. I have never been ...
