We have camped at Big Meadow Campground many times in the last 6 years. We have ALWAYS found it to be kept VERY clean and neat and the owners, Malcomb and Barbara to be very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. THey have very nice sites, most of which are pull through and a number are paved. THe campground is definitely convenient to everything in ...

WOULD NOT EVEN CONSIDER GOING BACK TO THIS CAMPGROUND
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/01/07
OWNERS WERE VERY RUDE. THREATENED TO CHARGE US FOR ANOTHER CAMPSITE BECAUSE AFTER MEMORIAL DAY MY NIECE PARKED HER VEHICLE ON AN EMPTY SPOT. TOLD OUR COUSINS THAT THEY WOULD BE GLAD TO SHOW THEM OUR CAMPSITE AFTER THEY PAID THE 3.00 PARKING CHARGE. CLEAN BUT VERY HOT NO TREES TO PROVIDE SHADE MAYBE ONE FOR EACH THREE SITES. WE HAVE STAYED ALL OVER ...

Nothing to do and expensive
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/06
For a simple little campground with nothing to do the rates are pretty high and continue to rise. I have stayed there a few times but have had enough. The playground is not much at all and the place is pretty boring. It is basically a piece of pasture. The sights are to close together unless you get a "super site" which cost more (there ...

ALWAYS A GREAT STAY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/22/06
I'm a single mom, and my 7-year old daughter and I have stayed at Big Meadow many, many times over the past 3 years and always enjoy our stay. Great playground where kids meet, gameroom, the Little River right there, mountain views, quiet walks, great sunsets, and so many friendly campers--we never have to make a campfire but are invited to ...

BORING
By Kent, 08/13/06
I have stayed at this campground 4 times. Have to say I have had enough of it. Very boring camp and owners. The lady needs a life. No pool and gravel roads

Decent Park but Dont Break the Rules
By Mike and Elle's Journey, 07/29/06
Premium sites are oversized concrete pads...very nice. But the roads are gravel and the turns are tight. They claim to have free wi-fi at your site but that is simply not true. Wi-fi is available only at the office. They have a long list of rules and violators are subjuct to eviction without refund. The owners are so uptight about their precious rules it's hard to have a nice time at this park. My suggestion is to keep looking...

Been there and going back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/07/06
We have stayed at Big Meadow 4 or 5 times over the past couple of years and have no complaints. Have always found Barb and Malcom pleasant and helpful. The campground is always clean and well kept. However, if you are looking for paved roads and swimming pools you will undoubtedly be disappointed. But if you are looking for a good campground in a great location with helpful people then this is the place for you.

not the best choice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/06
I chose this campground over the internet because it was cheap(guess you get what you pay for in this case). When we first arrived at Big Meadow campground I was not impressed at all!! I asked the owner lady a couple questions and she was VERY rude and unpleasant to speak with. Besides gaining people skills hopefully they will also obtain more ...
