likes: all u have to do is walk out the door and you are in pike place market (really like a hundred feet). next to bar's, restaurants and attractions. it was clean and the bed were cumpfy. and every day they had something going on. great if your traveling alone. and great breakfast way better then normal hotel
dis-likes: defiantly not a youth hostel. Lot's of older people. bunk bed's were high

Stayed at the hostel for 3 nights in a female dorm. Beds were comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were large, private and very clean. Good location, right beside the pike street market. Walking distance to most places.

This place feels like a shelter or some half way house. If you dont mind that youll probably have a good time. The staff are nice. Even though some of the partime (work to stay program) people are dubious.

I've stayed at the Green Tortoise several times. It's a great bargain and located right in the heart of downtown Seattle.
