Good Value- Great PriceThe place was very clean.
The location was residential and beautiful.
Staff was helpful and readily available.
Love love loved the free wifi and computers (Never happens in hostels!)
Living rooms was comfy and had Direct Tv.
Would definitely stay again.OVERALL

Run for your lifeThis is the worst hostel ever. The place is infested with mice. The locals are drunk drug dealers and are up all nite being loud and crude. The owner is a con man.The kitchen, bathrooms, and rooms are disgusting. The staff is even worse with threats to throw you out if you complain. DefraudedOf course I don't recommend this hostel for anything.
I made my reservations over the phone after being unable to find any other room. When I arrived at 9:00pm I paid with my credit card for my reservation. I was given a key for the doorknob lock. Nice neighborhood, close to downtown, ski bus left from right there, super market close by, & friendly environmentThis was a really nice hostel. They had a lot of fun things to do I really liked the movie nights with pop corn it was a nice touch. They have a free gas BBQ grill that they let all the guests use. Great ExperienceI had a great experience staying at the Avenues Hostel.
I came here to ski. The Avenues was great. I met a lot people from around the world. Every morning I went to ski with the Japanese group. The Avenues have a van which they only charge $20 a day. It was very convienient.

Its a wonderful lifeI must say I had the very best experiance of any hostel in Salt Lake City. The Staff was very helpful, pleasant, and they go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Great placeThe service was great. The rooms are comfortable. Very conveniently located near downtown but in a quite and safe neighborhood. Supermarket and restraunts are all walking distance and on the bus route.
The best of all. you can't beat the price and bunch of free stuff.

Would'nt rush backSlightly strange hostel but salt lake city so no suprises there. The hostel was however populated with older americans who were working in the local area and looking for somewhere cheap to stay so as a traveller felt a little out of place. And one thing that hostels need to learn in the usa is including tax in the price. Being told one price over the phone and being presented with another is obsurd.3 of 4 Yahoo!
