Clean but uncomfortableWe stayed one night at the Big Apple Hostel. It is conveniently located off of Times Square and near the Theatre District, with numerous restaurants and markets nearby. The building is safe and secure and the kitchen and bathrooms very clean, but our beds were exceptionally uncomfortable; I'm glad we were only booked for one night there. The ...3 of 3 Yahoo! AWESOME place to stayI stayed last night by myself (26-year-old female). It was very clean, cozy, and the staff was great. I felt absolutely safe and comfortable. The clientèle was varied, mostly young people from other countries. The rooms were clean and not as small as I had thought they would be, the bathrooms were very clean! Look carefully and you will find itThe front of the hostel looked drab, the receptionist was unwelcoming.After asking the if i could use the service elevator to transport me and my large, heavy suitcase to the top floor, i had the stairs pointed out to me.You never know who you may be sharing with in hostels.
