Having read the mixed comments, (after booking!) we were a little dubious about out trip. Turned out there was nothing to be worried about.

The room was small but spotlessly clean with a good shower room (powerful shower!) Staff were friendly and the breakfast was great.

Recommended.

We stayed at the Blossoms for 2 nights for my friends birthday. On arrival at the b&b we were pleasantly surprised from the outside, a lovely Georgian building. Excellent customer service (10/10 to Steve on Reception. Room was beautiful (no. 5), in house website does need updating though as pictures do not correspond to room pics. Hope to return in the summer with the children. Fantastic location, 10mins walk from the Minister. Carpark added bonus as parking very expense in York.

This place is not so easy to find if you are not familiar with York. The guy I spoke to on the phone gave great directions!

The car park was very small so try to get there early.

For the money we were paying, I was pleasantly surprised with the standard of the room. Tasty biscuits and comfy beds!

We were looking for a modestly priced B+B in York. We went a bit out of town but ended up off the planet... We booked through Hostelworld where it says a double room, we later checked out their website directly which helpfully shows each room and denotes a value double room as opposed to a double room, and so we called up the day before we went up ...

We were asked to pay the bill before we saw the room ,we later found out why.
The radiator in the room was broken. I found a large bit of broken glass beside the bed. The shower door was in a dangerous condition as it had not been fitted correctly and eventually it fell off. There was no hot water in the morning for a shower.
