My boyfriend and I travelled around Japan recently for 2 weeks and we stayed at several hostels. I must say K House Kyoto is the best hostel that we have stayed.

It is very cosy and homely and I feel very at ease here. The facilities are basic but they are enough to meet every traveller's needs.

i was live in k's house in tokyo. the people are very friendly...when i arrive to airport i try to call the people who work there, he wait for me until 11 pm.For the other day they're happy to help us to find the directions.the meaning is.. maybe the room is small ,but clean and quiet. the subways
station only 1 min walk.we have very happy hoilday in tokyo.

We spent there only 1 night but we felt almost instantly at home. The rooms are clean and the common spaces are confortable. There are not many rules, just silence after 10PM and don't smoke inside. The key of your room can open the main door so you can go back when you prefer in the night. They can speak english (quite unusual in Japan!) and ...

This is hands down the best place to stay on the cheap in Kyoto. It's gaining popularity fast so booking is needed more in advance.

They all speak English very well. It is a 5 minute walk from Kyoto Station.

There are always a ton of interesting people to round up for a night out in the lobby.
