The hotel is beautiful, in the old colonial style but with all the modern amenities, including internet access in the lobby, and, if you are lucky, in the room. Some of the courtyard rooms have windows on the interior courtyard, but once we got the airconditioning working properly, that was not a problem. The staff from front desk to garage ...
Very classy hotel. The rooms are well appointed. The internet works great. I loved the architecture. Staff was friendly. I've been there twice and also used the sister hotel Casino Plaza...worth staying at as well.
first off, this hotel is gorgeous. very well maintained over time. the staff is very courteous and spoke very good English, since my Spanish is less than perfect :) its very close to all squares, churches, museum and market. taxis are always available for trips further away. also there is a tour that will take you to Tlaquepaque and you can stay ...
I would without a doubt recommend this hotel to anyone. The room where we stayed was on the third floor facing a busy street. I slept right through all the noise because I wore earplugs at night (I would highly recommend this). We had planned to stay only 2 nights, but we asked if they could put us up for an extra night and they were able to do ...

Very cool history and in the heart of everything, but beware the nightclub on the street to the right as you face the hotel. Unless you like hearing thumping bass all night long (well most of the night anyway) don't let them give you a room on that side of the hotel ... unless you plan to be at that bar instead of sleeping.

A most traditional historic hotel and location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/21/07
I have traveled in and out of Mexico for the past thirty years. I started our as a tourist in resort communities as my children grew and later found myself emerged in the culture. If you want real mexico in Guadalajara, you must stay in the central heart of the city.
My recent wife of 2 1/2 years had never been to Mexico and I had a business ...
This hotel was by far one of the loveliest hotels I have stayed at!! Very good location! Excellent fruit smoothies directly across the street at Juci, Torty, Pollo. Also, there is a 24-hour convenient store right across the street. The hotel service was outstanding...very helpful and courteous. The hotel is just beautiful!! Internet available ...
It's a beautiful hotel and the service is great. We didn't give it 5 stars because we only stayed a night and so didn't really exploit the hotel's amenities, but it's definitely above average. It's walking distance from the historic center in Guadalajara. We will stay there again. We highly recommend it.
I spent seven nights at Hotel Morales, from 2/21/07 to 2/21/07, and highly recommend it, without significant reservation. For $80/night, it was an excellent value, probably the best in central Guadalajara, which is why I have given it five instead of four stars.
The atrium and reception area are a lovely throwback, and comfortably appointed. ...
