We very much enjoyed the coleslaw and the light crispy coating on the fish. However, avoid the seafood chowder, which had a most peculiar and not at all pleasing taste.

We were disappointed in Doug's. We had been there twice. Both times the oil they fried in tasted rancid to all at our table. Everything there is fried anyway, so there is not much of a selection of non-deep fat fried food.

Go there, get a fish sandwich with fries or rings and lots and lots of tartar sauce. Bliss.
