I can't wait until I'm back in the Hyde Park area to go back to the Eveready Diner. The servers were friendly, the portions were huge, the chocolate milkshake was excellent, the fries and onion rings were money and the Paramount sandwich was one of the biggest, juiciest chicken sandwich I've ever eaten. The bread it was on was homemade. ...

The emphasis on service and on the menu items have been lost...What was once a trendy diner has fallen into another plain diner menu...If the cooking was as good as the descriptions in the menu it would rate 5 stars...3 stars is more than enough for this run of the mill diner....

I've been going to the Eveready for so long that I can remember it being the Lighthouse, and look nothing like it does now. The place is much brighter and more fun now.
