Customer service at ticket sales line and counter was awful. Absolutely no organization whatsoever, and incompetent, rude workers that did not seem very interested in running an efficient format for lining up guests.
Once inside, though, the experience was very good, as the aquarium houses a very wide-range of aquatic life and exhibits. We went ...

worst crowd i have ever been in
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/21/07
The aquarium was beautiful, but it was the worst crowd I have ever been in. I have two small children, a niece and a nephew. We were there together. We could not see the exhibits due to the number of people in the aquarium. My children got ran over, pushed, smashed you name it it happened. People get irritated in large crowds, and a woman ...

The food is too expensive
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/30/07
The food was too expensive for being served in paper plates and no silverware. The optional ad additional cost movie was too short. Other than that the rest was nice.
Amazing aquarium. Terrific variety in the fish and other aquatic life presented there from all types of oceans environments. Very knowledgeable volunteer docents are always on hand to answers questions.
They also have a wonderful cafe. The food is very good and the prices are not bad.
This is a place to return to again and again. Lucky if you live in Georgia--get a yearly pass.

Worth one visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/06
The Georgia Aquarium has some amazing exhibits, primarily the Cold Water Quest which features the beluga whales, and the Ocean Voyager which features the whale sharks.
However, as far as education goes (and I think that should be the goal of any aquarium or zoo), you're better off to go to the Tennessee Aquarium. While the Georgia Aquarium ...

will not go back

We have been to lots of aquariums and this was not near being the best. Go to Gatlinburg or Chattanooga unless you just have to see a Bulga Whale or a Whale Shark. The price was about average the crowds not managed at all, yes the ticket has a time on it but who is checking the time? The security was a bit much taking suckers from children please ...
First, I was there on a Wednesday evening, so there were no crowds to contend with. I can see that crowds would lessen the experience considerably.
What I liked the most was the big tank. First, there are the four whale sharks swimming around in the tank. I have never seen these creatures in person before and for that it was worth the ...
Very nice but get here early before the crowd arrives ... Got there when it opened and we got through it in about 3 hours without rushing, but it was getting crowded when we finished ... Beautiful and worth the price of admission ...

Great Family Trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/10/06
My family had a great time. Good layout and lots to see. The big tank with the four whale sharks and other fish is outstanding.
We just love all the exhibits and presentation they have for all the aquatic animals. The fish all look contented in their giant aquarium. We like the way how they segregated the Fish according to their class and kinds. Such an awesome sight!
