On a recent trip to NYC in June, my mom and I planned to go here for dessert, but after wandering down the street and seeing a line quickly forming in front of the small, inconspicuous storefront, we decided to wait. We went on a Monday morning and just happened to walk by 10 min before they opened. The line was not too long but it quickly filled ...

Very expensive for what you get. We arrived 40 minutes before opening and still had to wait to get a table. The frozen hot chocolate is good, but perhaps I am just spoiled by the things that are available to me on a daily basis where I live. I ordered the Summer Bries sandwhich. It was open faced, turkey, apples, brie cheese and russian dressing. ...

I OWULD HAVE LOVED TO TRY THE FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE WITH MY FAMILY ON DEC 13TH 2008 BUT WE WERE NOT WILLING TO WAIT THE THREE HOURS THAT THE PERSON AT THE DOOR TOLD US IT WOULD BE. We took my ten year old for dinner. He loved the movie and wanted to go. We waited an hour. After finally being seated and ordering two rare cheeseburgers, we waited forty five minutes and no word about our food. The waiter was not seen often and was not very responsive after flagging him down. We were told that there were many burgers in at the ...

I loved my vanilla ice cream, brownie, chocolate fudge sundae. AMAZING! You'll love it if you're the indulgent ice cream lover. I don't know why people even go here for the food. This is an ice cream shop, nothing more! Be ready to wait atleast 30 minutes. The wait staff is a little off and slow so don't be in a hurry.

Truly a TOURIST TRAP. Definitely not food for dinner or lunch. The french toast, omelet, char char chicken, and char char steak were horrible. A big disappointment. Also, when you order the frozen hot chocolate make sure you know who you are sharing it with. Oversized glass bowls contain a very very sweet beverage with four straws for all to share. The experience resembled a poor quality diner. Once was enough.

A NY institution? So is the phyc. ward at Bellvue.
Ludicrously over-hyped tourist trap. I've been twice during the hoilday season (at the insistence of friends) and will never go back. It's mainly about the desserts and if heaps of ice cream in various forms isn't your idea of great eats the rest of the menu—bland sandwiches and ...
