Ate at Mickey Mantle's 3 times whilst in New York as we were staying in the Helmsley Park lane next door. The food was excellent every time, the portions were huge and the staff were very friendly. Ok, so the prices are a little steep but what do you expect. This is NYC. If I end up back in New York I will definitely be paying them a visit again.

Of our group of six, four were very displeased with their meals. Also, the service was good; the bathrooms were dirty. I would definitely NOT give it the four out of five star rating that was on this website at the time we decided to go to this restaurant. Other reviews on the internet give it the more accurate, lower rating.

Went to Mickey Mantle's for the first time in my life last week for an event showcase. What a great place. Fun, exciting, great food, great stuff on the walls, great service, mucho televisions. Stayed after the event to drink a few and watch the Yankees opener my only gripe is the alchohol price, but i guess to have a Central Park South address ...

Mickey Mantle's gets it. A sports bar, with, get this, sports flavor. Mickey's came before a lot of the cookie cutter copycats. Let's just say the new guys didn't do such a hot job of emulating an American Original.

It was OK....the food was Blah...price is ridiculous

Good ambiance. Lots of sports memoriabilia. In these types of places I always feel the food is diminshed to make way for the sports themes. So I don't expect much in the way of taste and as usual the taste was mediocre. The price is high and the service is slow. You are paying for the name.
