By far the best steak I have had anywhere. There sirloin is unbeatable.

Sparks Steakhouse is a mainstay of New York City steakhouses. I went with a few friends to try it out. The decor was very much what you would expect from a NYC steakhouse - wood panels, jackets, etc. It seemed a little pretentious, but thankfully the food was good and it was able to back up the atmosphere. Slightly overpriced but a good steak nonetheless. The wine list was pretty good, too.

terrible food, terrible service

recomended by a friend, but i must have just had a bad experience. food tasted like it came off my bbq, (not what I would expect from such an upscale restaraunt). The service was also poor, my water being re-filled only once and since we sat at an end table, the waiters continually banged into the back of my booth!

All show, no go

In my opinion, this is a typical NY tourist trap. Mediocre overpriced food with lame staff and no valet parking. Lights in dining room were bright and the place had a slightly musty smell. Moreover, if I'm paying $600 for dinner for four I don't want to sit next to someone wearing a tee shirt and shorts.
The food is great, very frendly staff. A steak to die for, if it was good for Big Paul Castellano it good enough for me. Can't wait to go back. Me, my wife and another couple under 500 bucks.I ate like i was going to the chair. Not bad at all, worth the price.. Have the coffee and pecan pie, the best.
We used to live three hours away from Spark's Steakhouse, but we always made it a priority to eat here when we were in NYC. My husband is not a "red meat" person, but he loves the dry-aged steak here. Everything is fabulous--from the service to the already-shelled lobster to the wine. Worth every bit the cost.
No matter what time of year, no matter what time into the dinner service -- the quality & service I have grown to expect from Sparks over the years never ceases to amaze me. It is, by far, the best steakhouse in NYC... bar none.
The best in New York. I have been to all the top rated Steak houses in NY City and the only one close is Peter Luger. The strip steak is the best in NYC. If you are visiting and like steak, don't miss it.

Amazing!! The best steak I have ever had- the service is amazing- the sides are amazing. The wine list is extensive. If you only have one night in NYC- make this your place to eat- I promise you will not be disapointed!
