#1 not a chance, overcooked for tenderness, bbq sauce is nothing special, and fries are just okay. I've eaten better ribs in over 50 different paces at least, #1 would have to be in Kansas City or Memphis, with Texas right there, there's dozens of places better. Just stop at some rib joint off the highway in Tx or Mo and you're guaranteed to have better BBQ. What a disgrace.

this place is a joke, Kansas City is still the best city for bbq in the world. I have eaten at hole in the wall places in KCMO and had better food.

I Went there over the weekend and to tell ya the truth my party didn't like the food at all. It was just to over cooked and the BBQ sauce tasted like it was from one of those 5 gallon buckets you get at cosco. Come up with some style at least come on.

Fantastic!! My favorite place to have BBQ in NYC. I go to Baruch's grad school two blocks away and we frequent Blue Smoke after mid-terms, finals and presentations. Basically, whatever excuse I can find to have their Kansas City ribs...
And being a bourbon fan, okay, fanatic their list is tremendous! I'm big Wild Turkey fan but I've ...

Good food and great portions. My wife and I had to share the pulled pork platter with sweet potatoe fries. Make sure to catch some jazz downstairs (Jazz Standard).
We are from Alabama and know BBQ, daughter has lived in the City for one year and took us to the restaurant on our most resent visit (she love's the place). Food is OK, 30 minute wait turned into an hour and a half. Asst. manager "comped" our meal! All without asking or making a fuss. He was really on top of his job. Showed true class in a very classy city. Would highly recommend just from his action and class. Greg and Lou

Best in NYC... maybe US

My wife and I, from Georgia and Virginia respectively, love BBQ and eat here at least once a month. Awesome food, terrific service and a great atmosphere. Yet another outstanding Danny Meyer establishment.
I have been to Blue Smoke quite a few times. Honestly, they make some of the best BBQ ribs (even better IMHO than some high-priced, highly touted BBQ places). The Applewood smoked chicken is great as well as pulled pork sandwich. Kids of all ages are very welcome and the staff seems very accomodating of the little ones. The prices are a little higher but given the service and the quality of the food it is worth it.
