The staff is hardworking and helpful and the atmosphere is unique and well decorated; however, the food quality is sorely lacking. The reason for all the salt, spices and sauces is to cover up the subpar food quality. They boast of having authentic tex mex food but don't have any sort of hard shell tacos and no semblance of burritos whatsoever. ...SHOW FULL REVIEW

Tejas is Great but the wait is way too much. I love the chicken guadalajara. It takes like 20 minutes to prepare, but its inexpensive and delicious. Unfortunatley Tejas doesn't do to-go orders. I thought I'd beat the wait and order something to pick up. Not happenin :(OVERALL

The food is amazing and the margaritas are on point. Ya feel me. You want to get a decently priced entree and some drinks on the side without breaking yo bank then go to EAT. Only downside to all this is that you might have to wait like half your life get seated.

The wait is too long, and they let the place get too over crowded and it is uncomfortable. The food is good and the prices are good though. The bartenders need a personality, its a job not a jail sentence, there could be alot worse things they could be doing.OVERALL

Very unique fare. You can choose between Cajun inspired Mexican food, or Mexican inspired Cajun food. Very good on both fronts.
My only recommendation - go at 11:00 am for lunch, otherwise you may be subject to a wait. I know that for dinner the wait is occasionally 2 hours.
BTW, their "no dessert" philosophy is genius - increases revenue due to the high demand.OVERALL -
Best Mexican restaurant in all of NJ!! Great prices, great drinks, great atmosphere, and always great service. The only problem was we smell like fajitas when we leave. Haha!OVERALL

I've been going to Jose's for over 10 years now, and I have never once been dissapointed. Their chicken fajitas are to die for, but that is just their main selling point: as you go more often, try more things- nothing beats a cool corona and a jim bowie. it has this crabby alfredo sauce, very hard to describe, but is the best dish in new ...1 of 1 Yahoo! I Like everything in this restaurant except their Jose rice, it tasted like it's been on the floor that was cleaned by pin-salt, lots of it.
Their chips are freshly made and price is unbeatable. Service is so so since they do have a lot of customers. Everytime my friends and I go, we can always be filled by just eating chips, and take the food that we order home. Its worth it take a trip to route 1.0 of 1 Yahoo!
