Yes, because everyone knows that you need to be some south philly or camden county dago to understand "italian" food. Spare us. There are about 25 restaurants in this entire country that would qualify as truly representative of what goes on in Italy. I can't believe all the positive reviews of this place. My husband is Italian, and we laugh about how many locals love this place. I find that most of the locals do not know Italian food (that's not an insult; it's just that there aren't a lot of Italians who live in Cape May, so there's no critical mass of people to discern ...SHOW FULL REVIEWOVERALL

I absolutely love Alfe'sI have to say that Alfe's is one of the best Italian restaurants in this state. The food is wonderful and the service is very friendly. I surely recommend this restaurant to any Italian lover. I have never heard anything bad about Alfe's and I always recommend it to my friends.OVERALL

Best food in TownAlfe's has the best sit down dinners in town. Open year round with a friendly waitstaff. If you love seafood you have to try Alfe's. The Salmon Jackie Style is a favorite. (Salmon topped with shrimp scallops, crabmeat, tomatoes and a sauce to die for.)
